A resident of Buckingham Township, Pennsylvania, Helena studied at the Philadelphia College of Art (now The University of the Arts) and participated in workshops with Daniel Greene and June Maxwell. A pastel artist for 45 years, she has been an active participant in pastel’s revival as a serious medium. Her favorite subjects are animals and plein air landscapes of Bucks County. Helena’s work has appeared on the 2005 Bucks Beautiful Garden Poster for the Bucks County Chamber of Commerce, the 2008 Historic Yellow Springs Poster and the 2011 Wilmington Flower Market Poster. In addition, she has participated in numerous juried and invitational exhibitions including the Rittenhouse Square Fine Art Show, Historic Yellow Springs Art Show and the Malvern Retreat House Art Show.She was a juried participant in Plein-Air Easton, Md. 2019 and has won 2 second place ribbons in Bucks County Plein-Air.
