Doris lives and works on a portion of the historic Brandywine Battlefield in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Her paintings are frequently selected for inclusion in college and museum exhibitions throughout the world. Jurors note that vibrant color and strong design are the hallmarks of her work and she has been a recipient of numerous "Best in Show" and other awards. Doris' work has been published in books and magazines including: "the Best of Watercolor, Splash 8", "Speaking for Themselves, the Artists of Chester County, PA", "Chester County Life", "In New York" and "International Artists" magazines. Doris is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society, the Transparent Watercolor Society of America and the Philadelphia and Pennsylvania watercolor societies. She is an elected member of the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, Inc., and the Audubon Artists Inc., both in New York City. In addition, she is a member and serves on the board of the historic Howard Pyle Studios in Wilmington, Delaware. .
