Lidia Kohutiak

Lidia has a master’s degree in French Literature and a passion for the fine arts. She has studied in numerous classes and workshops with renowned artists such as Ellen Cooper, Garth Herrick, Alexandra Tyng, Peter Schaumann, Giovanni Casedei, Carol Kardon, Michele Byrne and Michael Doyle. Lidia is a member of the Wayne Art Center, the Philadelphia Sketch Club and the Delaware Valley Art League. She paints in oils in a free and painterly style with emphasis on light and color. She finds beauty and poetry in nature, in human faces, the human form and in the human condition. Lidia’s award-winning oil paintings include portraits, still life, landscapes and architecture. They are featured annually in a number of solo, juried and invitational exhibitions including The Philadelphia Sketch Club, the Wayne Art Center, the Malvern Retreat House and the Devon Horse Show Gallery. Most recently she received Honorable Mention Award at the Wayne Art Center, a Second Place Award from the Delaware Art League and a Second Place Award and Medal from the Philadelphia Sketch Club.
