Rachel received her BA in Fine Arts from Penn State University. During her time at Penn State, she spent a semester in Rome studying painting and art history as a student in Tyler School of Art’s Temple Rome Program. After nearly a decade hiatus from painting, Rachel has reconnected with her passion. Her earlier works focused on realism, capturing a quiet moment through a still life or a majestic landscape. In recent years, she has started experimenting and playing with an expressionistic approach to painting. The colors and shapes found in botanicals and natural surroundings are the major influences for her recent works, which are rich with vibrant color, energy and movement.
