Madeleine Kelly

An artist and educator, Madeleine has judged numerous exhibitions. Her studio is in Southeastern Pennsylvania. She describes her personal approach to her art as elevating the mundane for the marvelous. As an artist evolution is necessary. Experimentation is required, exploring the tools and rules of texture, color, and design. All are channels for passion and feeling, informing my artistic voice. Although she never formally studied art, she continues to grow as an artist and has achieved her skills through workshops, museums, and demo presentations with such leading artists as Elizabeth Mowry, Rea Redifer, and Homer Johnson among others. Her works are displayed and admired in public and private collections around the world. Her paintings have been selected for various national and international juried exhibitions. An award-winning exhibitor, she is a member of the Philadelphia Water Color Society, American Impressionist Society, Southeastern Pastel Society, and the Philadelphia Pastel Society. She has been published in magazines and newspapers including a Philadelphia Inquirer feature, an American Artist Magazine feature, and the Philadelphia Stories Magazine. Her artwork can be seen gracing the set of the feature indie film The Suspect.
