Maureen has been drawing and painting nearly all of her life. Her formal training began when she received some art lessons for her ninth birthday. Since then, she has studied at the Woodmere Art Museum, the Corcoran Gallery in Washington, DC, the Abington Art Center and the Wayne Art Center. In addition, she holds a minor in art from Trinity College. Maureen’s subject matter is primarily landscapes and she focuses on the landscapes she knows best: the vanishing rural vistas near her home and the South Jersey coastline and its towns. Her work has been exhibited in several area shows and at the William Ris Gallery in Stone Harbor, New Jersey.
